An Endless Hope or a Hopeless End?

From the writings of Sumner Wemp

An endless hope.

"While we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and

Savior, Jesus Christ" Titus 2:13. He said, "I will come again" John 14:3 and He meant it. For those that receive Christ it is an endless hope. For those that reject Christ it is a hopeless end.

A hopeless end.

"For nation shall rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom." Heard Of any wars lately? And there will be famines and earthquakes in various Places" sound familiar? All these are the beginning of sorrows, (Greek: Birth pains) Matt 24:7. Does that get your attention?

While we are enjoying the presence of the Lord, the world will employ the Vengeance of the Lord.

The great tribulation called also:

1. The Day of the Lord (Isa. 2:12).

2. The Day of God's Vengeance (Isa. 34:8; 63:1-6).

3. The Time of Jacobs Trouble (Jer. 30:7).

4. Daniels Seventieth Week (Dan. 9:24-27).

5. The Time of the End (Dan. 12:9).

6. The Great Day of His Wrath (Rev. 6:17).

7. The Hour of His Judgment (Rev. 14:7).

8. The End of This World (Matt. 13:40, 49).

9 The Indignation (Isa. 26:20)

10. The Overspreading of Abominations (Dan. 9:27).

11. The Time of Trouble such as Never Was (Dan. 12:1).

The wrath of God - Rev. 6-18

Look these references up and become familiar with them for future use.

Then, these are all part of what happens in Rev. 6-18. Man rejected the Son of God he refused the grace of God and now will face the wrath of God. As we look at some of the wrath of God it ought to give us a passion to witness and win people to Christ before it is too late.

"And have mercy on some, who are doubting; save others, snatching them out Of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear, hating even the garment Polluted by the flesh" Jude 22,23.

O dear people, we must worship while still in the flesh. We must work for the night cometh, we must witness while it is still day.

Prayer: Father, bless Your children. Make us aware that Jesus may come any minute now. Make us aware that our family and friends will be lost forever without Him so that we pray for them and witness to them. In Jesus Name.

Seven days without prayer makes one weak.

Do your best, bring out the best in others,

Don't tell the Lord how big the problem is,

Tell the problem how Great the Lord is!

Judas 1:24-25

Amen.
